There's something about big cities and their downtown atmosphere that fascinates me. I think I would enjoy living in a downtown neighborhood where you can walk out of your home and immediately have lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. But I would still need to escape the hustle and bustle to a quiet country retreat every so often. Do you ever picture yourself living somewhere completely different than where you currently are? It's fun to dream a little :)
Forgive me for the slow posting in the next week or so while I enjoy our little trip. But Country Mouse and I are working on some new and exciting ideas for the shop and we'll share them with you very soon! I hope you are enjoying this last stretch of summer!
I hope you are having fun! It sure looks like it!
ReplyDeleteI always think about living back in Pacific Grove, CA, it's amazing there. I also dream of living in the UK someplace. I don't know why, but I feel like I would fit in and love it there. But I have to say, I really like where I live now, only I'd move a mile or two into a neighborhood with bigger houses, but other than that, I'm pretty good! =)
Have fun! I miss the big city sometimes. Its nice to visit and then come back home huh? My new job is nice since I get to go to nyc, vegas, and chicago. It fills my big city "needs".
ReplyDeleteI live just 3 blocks from the john hancock and never feel like I am overwhelmed with the big city, its all what you make it, I enjoy the cozier aspects of the city, hope you had a great visit;-)
